Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Lower on Tuesday

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on a downward trend this Tuesday, with the main « MASI » index declining by 0.09%, settling at 14,035.65 points.

The « MASI.20 » index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, fell by 0.14% to 1,126.20 points, while the MASI.ESG index, representing companies with the best ESG ratings, dropped by 0.36% to 1,007.12 points.

The « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, also saw a slight decrease of 0.05%, reaching 1,343.77 points.

Among individual stocks, the biggest gains were seen by « Auto Hall » (+4.35% / 70.99 dirhams), « Stroc Industrie » (+3.42% / 53.78 dirhams), « Crédit Immobilier et Hôtelier » (+2.5% / 399.85 dirhams), « Disway Technologies » (+2.27% / 225 dirhams), and « Sothema » (+2.15% / 950 dirhams).

Conversely, the biggest declines were recorded by « Promopharm » (-5.95% / 1,012 dirhams), « Cartier Saada » (-4.72% / 34.11 dirhams), « Jet Contractors » (-4.26% / 1,100 dirhams), « Douja Promotion Addoha » (-3.6% / 32.1 dirhams), and « SNEP » (-2.53% / 469.95 dirhams).

The « MASI » index had ended Monday’s session with a loss of 0.38%.
