The draw for the group stage of the Women’s African Champions League (Morocco 2024), held this Friday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, placed the AS FAR club in Group A.
Group A also includes Nesoor Madina (Senegal), TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo), and the University of Western Cape (South Africa).
According to the draw, Group B consists of Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Tutankhamun (Egypt), Commercial Bank Club (Ethiopia), and Edo Queens (Nigeria).
The group stage will kick off on November 9, with AS FAR’s first match against Edo Queens. The Moroccan club will then face TP Mazembe on November 12 and will play against the University of Western Cape in their third match in mid-November.
The tournament, hosted in Morocco from November 9 to 23, reveals that the semifinals will take place on November 19, featuring matches between the top team of Group A and the second-placed team of Group B, and the top team of Group B against the second-placed team of Group A.
The third-place match is scheduled for November 22, with the final to be held on the following day, November 23.
It is worth noting that Morocco previously hosted the 2022 edition of the Women’s African Champions League, a premier club competition in Africa for women’s football.
