Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts the Week on a Positive Note

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading this Monday with a rise, as the main « MASI » index advanced by 0.13%, settling at 14,098.39 points.

The « MASI.20 » index, which tracks the performance of 20 listed companies, grew by 0.25% to reach 1,135.76 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, which includes companies with the best ESG ratings, rose by 0.1% to 1,013.79 points.

Conversely, the « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies, fell by 0.05% to 1,351.14 points.

Among individual stocks, the top gainers included « Groupe M2M » (+8.63% at 550 dirhams), « Auto Hall » (+4.4% at 70.99 dirhams), « Risma » (+2.3% at 220 dirhams), « Travaux Généraux de Construction de Casablanca » (+2.26% at 408 dirhams), and « LafargeHolcim Maroc » (+1.54% at 1,849 dirhams).

On the other hand, the biggest declines were recorded by « Delta Holding » (-3.69% at 52.78 dirhams), « Colorado » (-3.41% at 51 dirhams), « Stroc Industrie » (-2.63% at 48.2 dirhams), « Hightech Payment Systems » (-2.56% at 570 dirhams), and « Société Minière de Touissit » (-2.33% at 1,553 dirhams).

The « MASI » index had ended last Friday’s session with a loss of 0.32%.
