Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa presided over the Longines Grand Prix jumping competition this Sunday in Rabat. Upon her arrival at the Equestrian Village, she was welcomed by Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, President of the Moroccan Royal Equestrian Federation, before reviewing a detachment of Auxiliary Forces that honored her.

Following this, several dignitaries, including ministers, ambassadors, and local officials, greeted Princess Lalla Hasnaa. Among them were Mohamed Sadiki, Minister of Agriculture, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, and Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani, the Qatari Ambassador to Rabat.

The Princess then took her place in the royal box to follow the Grand Prix competition. At the conclusion, she awarded the trophy for the 2024 season to Austrian rider Max Kühner, who claimed first place after 15 rounds. The second and third positions went to German riders Christian Kukuk and Jan-Frederik Zimmermann, respectively.

This notable event, held for the first time on African soil, is part of the 2024 Morocco-Qatar cultural year, highlighting the strong ties between the two countries. The choice of Rabat to host the jumping series carries symbolic weight, given Morocco’s deep-rooted equestrian traditions.
