Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts the Day with a Decline

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on a downward trend this Tuesday, with the main index « MASI » falling by 0.35%, settling at 14,030.8 points.

The « MASI.20 » index, which reflects the performance of the top 20 listed companies, dropped by 0.13% to 1,130.68 points, while the « MASI.ESG » index, which tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings, fell by 0.55% to 1,009.17 points.

Similarly, the « MASI Mid and Small Cap, » which measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the stock exchange, declined by 0.6%, reaching 1,343 points.

In terms of individual stock performances, the highest gains were posted by « Groupe M2M » (+4% / 572 dirhams), « Établissements Dar Saada » (+2.74% / 77.36 dirhams), « Sonasid » (+2.61% / 846.5 dirhams), « Colorado » (+0.95% / 51.99 dirhams), and « Transport » (+0.79% / 33 dirhams).

Conversely, the biggest losses were recorded by « Compagnie Minière de Touissit » (-9.85% / 1,291 dirhams), « Bank of Morocco » (-7.08% / 856.5 dirhams), « Stokvis North Africa » (-5.92% / 14.3 dirhams), « Atlanta Sanad » (-4.74% / 131.6 dirhams), and « Delta Holding » (-3.65% / 52.79 dirhams).

The « MASI » index had closed Monday’s session with a stable performance.
