Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch stated that the economic choices made by his government to face the challenging circumstances have proven to be effective. He pointed out that these decisions reflect the government’s « maturity » and ability to surpass previous political periods under former administrations, which often hindered governmental actions.
During a meeting of the ruling coalition parties, with the presence of parliamentary group members, Akhannouch highlighted that « the political and social achievements made so far are commendable, and we take pride in them. » He added that international reports emphasize the resilience of the national economy and the government’s capacity to navigate through this period.
In another context, the Prime Minister said: « We have succeeded in laying the foundations of the social state. In a short period, we have managed to generalize social protection, and we continue working to strengthen these foundations. In the education sector, we have begun an integrated reform process under the theme of building family foundations, placing education as a priority to improve citizens’ living conditions. » He also announced the launch of direct housing support to meet the needs of the Moroccan people. Furthermore, the government reinitiated social dialogue, which had been stagnant under previous administrations, allowing the signing of agreements on various issues, making it a government priority.
Akhannouch also emphasized his government’s efforts to boost investment, noting the launch of projects that respond to the current circumstances, such as water sector investments. Additionally, he affirmed that tackling unemployment remains a top priority for his government.
