Weather forecast for Thursday: Showers and strong winds expected

The General Directorate of Meteorology is forecasting localized thunder showers this Thursday over the Middle Atlas mountains, the northern High Atlas, and the eastern slopes.

The sky will be partly cloudy over the Phosphates and Oulmès plateaus, with scattered showers and local thunderstorms in some areas. Light rain may affect the Mediterranean coast, with fog banks forming in the Moulouya valleys, central coasts, and the northwest of the Saharan provinces. Dust clouds will also be observed inland in the Saharan provinces.

Moderate to strong wind gusts are expected under thunderstorms over the High Atlas mountains, eastern slopes, and the southeast of the kingdom.

Minimum temperatures will range from 9 to 14 degrees in the Atlas, Rif, and eastern regions, from 14 to 18 degrees along the Mediterranean coast and the southeast, and between 18 and 23 degrees elsewhere.

As for maximum temperatures, they will rise in the southeast but decrease in other regions.

The sea will be slightly to moderately rough along the Mediterranean coast, the Strait of Gibraltar, and other coastal areas, with rough seas expected between Mehdia and Tan-Tan.
