In line with the High Royal Instructions, Abdellatif Loudiyi, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, and General Mohamed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, welcomed, this Tuesday at the administration’s headquarters, Mr. Sébastien Lecornu, French Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans, who was accompanied by his diplomatic advisor and the military attaché from the French Embassy in Rabat.
According to a statement from the National Defense Administration, the discussions focused on ways and means to engage in this new era of strong relations between Morocco and France, particularly through an exceptional partnership and a strategic roadmap for the coming years, as agreed upon by the leaders of both nations.
On this occasion, the French minister highlighted Morocco’s significant role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as an active player and mediator for stability and peace on the African continent and in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The Moroccan side emphasized the Kingdom’s firm commitment and strategy, guided by the enlightened vision of His Majesty the King, may God assist him, in managing security challenges, with positive effects on both Morocco’s African and European neighbors.
The statement concluded that both sides expressed their shared ambition and mutual will to further consolidate and develop cooperation in the areas of defense and security.
