Egyptian star Mostafa Fahmy passed away early Wednesday morning at the age of 82, following a short battle with illness.
According to press reports, the late actor felt extreme fatigue on Tuesday morning, prompting his transfer to a hospital in the Al-Mohandiseen area. After undergoing several medical tests, he returned home by noon. However, his condition worsened later in the day, and his family called for an ambulance to take him back to the hospital, but he passed away before it could arrive.
The death of Mostafa Fahmy, brother of actor Hussein Fahmy, has left the artistic community in deep mourning. Several artists quickly took to social media to express their condolences, remembering his artistic journey and the influence he had on Egyptian and Arab audiences.
In August, Fahmy had undergone a delicate surgery to remove a brain tumor. Despite his declining health, he continued to contribute to the arts, with over 149 works to his name, including his last films « El-Serb » and « Ahl Al-Kahf. »
