Two additional Moroccan nationals have been confirmed dead among Moroccans living in Spain due to severe floods in Valencia, according to media sources.
This brings the total number of Moroccan fatalities to three, with over 20 people still reported missing.
In response, following guidelines from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, the Moroccan consulate established a crisis unit to monitor the situation of the affected Moroccan community.
Two phone numbers have been designated for reporting victims or missing persons and to provide necessary support: 0034.631.935.818 and 0034.631.711.873.
The crisis unit is actively working with local associations to reach the affected individuals, locate the missing, and provide emergency support as needed.
Meanwhile, Spanish authorities have assured the consulate of their full cooperation in providing information on Moroccan victims as soon as it becomes available.
