The Casablanca Stock Exchange began its trading day on Thursday with an upward trend. Its main index, the MASI, rose by 0.43%, settling at 14,358.70 points.
The MASI.20 index, which tracks the performance of the top 20 listed companies, increased by 0.50% to 1,158.96 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, featuring companies with top ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings, grew by 0.39%, reaching 1,029.16 points.
Additionally, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, representing small and medium-sized listed companies, saw a rise of 0.99%, ending at 1,419.74 points.
Among individual stocks, the strongest gains were recorded by Les Réalisations Mécaniques (+9.98% at 526.20 MAD), Wafa Maroc.com (+7.38% at 34.90 MAD), SNEP (+6.89% at 514 MAD), TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc (+5.89% at 1,545 MAD), and Jet Contractors (+4.05% at 1,540 MAD). Conversely, the biggest declines were observed for Maghreb Oxygène (-8.91% at 213.55 MAD), Stroc Industrie (-3.92% at 49 MAD), Colorado (-2.66% at 50.50 MAD), Société Minière de Touissit (-2.45% at 1,551 MAD), and Stokvis Nord Afrique (-2.39% at 14.73 MAD).
Notably, the MASI index had closed last Tuesday’s session with a slight decrease of 0.02%.
