The Moroccan Investors Club in Senegal praised the new approach to managing the affairs of Moroccans abroad, announced by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in his speech on the 49th anniversary of the Green March.
The club’s president, Mohamed Lahlou, told the Maghreb Arab Press Agency that the royal vision for a new institutional framework represents a turning point that aligns with the special attention His Majesty extends to the concerns of his subjects living abroad.
Mr. Lahlou believes that this restructuring is an opportunity for all Moroccans abroad to strengthen their ties with their homeland and actively contribute to the nation’s development, especially as the issue of Morocco’s territorial integrity requires the mobilization of all.
The announced reform of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad is expected to boost investments in the southern provinces, which are poised to become a hub for Africa.
Furthermore, the Moroccan Investors Club in Senegal welcomed the creation of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad. This new entity will be dedicated to managing initiatives and providing enhanced support for Moroccans worldwide in various fields.
According to Mr. Lahlou, this royal initiative will highlight the potential of Moroccans abroad and bring their voices and aspirations to the forefront of national institutions.
