Launch of the Third National Civil Society Forum on Scientific Research

Yesterday, Friday, in Rabat, the third National Forum of Civil Society Associations opened under the theme « Scientific Research and the Associative Sector: Towards New Horizons of Excellence and Innovation. » Over 500 participants attended, including academics, experts, national and international institutional actors, and representatives from civil society.

Organized by the Ministry responsible for Parliamentary Relations, this two-day forum aims to create a space for dialogue among concerned stakeholders to highlight the importance of scientific research in the associative sector and to promote universities’ role in developing specialized academic programs to enhance skills in this area.

The event also seeks to emphasize the role of universities’ studies and research centers in advancing civil society associations and producing relevant knowledge to be utilized in institutional reports.

In his address, the Deputy Minister, Mustapha Baitas, noted that the forum unites two fundamental pillars for sustainable development: scientific research led by universities and the associative field. He underlined that this event creates a robust bridge between universities and associations to foster greater cooperation.

The Minister of Higher Education and Innovation, represented by his Secretary-General, emphasized the need to combine scientific research with civic engagement, aligning with the directives of King Mohammed VI, who advocates for strengthening civil society’s role in public affairs.
