The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened trading this Tuesday with gains, as its main index, « MASI, » rose by 0.26%, reaching 14,729.21 points.
Shortly after the opening, both the « MASI.20 » index, representing the top 20 listed companies, and the « MASI.ESG » index, comprising top-rated ESG companies, also recorded gains of 0.21% (1,190.31 points) and 0.14% (1,054.33 points) respectively.
The « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, tracking small and medium-sized companies, advanced by 0.85% to reach 1,436.43 points.
Leading gainers included « Maghreb Oxygène » (+6.44% at 239.5 MAD), « Sonasid » (+4.93% at 979 MAD), and « Mechanical Engineering Company » (+3.82% at 648.9 MAD). On the other hand, top decliners were « CFG Bank » (-2.5% at 195 MAD), « Stroc Industrie » (-2.08% at 47 MAD), and « Maroc Telecom » (-0.7% at 90.35 MAD).
