Police in Salé, assisted by Morocco’s General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested a 29-year-old man with a criminal record on Monday, November 11. He is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and the distribution of psychotropic substances.
The suspect was apprehended at the Salé railway station shortly after arriving on a train from a northern city. Police found in his possession 5,052 pills of various psychotropic drugs, along with a sum of money believed to be proceeds from his criminal activity.
The suspect is now under judicial investigation, overseen by the competent public prosecutor, to identify any accomplices and further investigate this criminal network’s reach.
