President-elect Donald Trump is in the process of building his new administration, set to take office after his inauguration on January 20. Trump announced that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, will head the newly established Department of “Government Efficiency,” alongside former Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

In a statement about the appointments, Trump said, “These two men will lead the way for my administration to dismantle government bureaucracy, reduce excessive regulations, cut wasted expenses, and restructure federal agencies… which is essential to saving America.”

Elon Musk, who has supported Trump and appeared alongside him multiple times in recent campaign events, has previously criticized excessive government spending and suggested the need to reduce budgets and cut certain government jobs. Vivek Ramaswamy, an American businessman of Indian descent, made headlines in the political sphere as one of the most popular Republican candidates after Trump himself.
