In commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the Green March and the 69th anniversary of Morocco’s Independence, Mr. Younes Tazi, Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, and Mr. Mehdi Chlebi, Governor of Ouezzane Province, inaugurated several development projects on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. They were joined by Mr. Omar Moro, President of the Regional Council, as well as local officials and parliamentarians.
The delegation visited the development project for Lake Bouderwa, with a regional council contribution of 20 million dirhams, out of a total budget of 33.2 million dirhams. They also reviewed the first phase of improvement works in under-equipped neighborhoods in Ouezzane, including the standardization of building facades and the renovation of doors and windows, with a budget of 17 million dirhams.
The visit program also included the final phase of the main road redevelopment project in Ouezzane, with a budget of 55 million dirhams, and the launch of construction for the road linking the ring road to the city. Additionally, they launched the development of the city’s main entrance towards Rabat, in partnership with the Ministry of Equipment and Water.
