Morocco won decisively against Gabon 5-1 in the 5th round of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers. Gabon took an early lead with Dennis Bouanga’s goal in the 5th minute, but Morocco quickly equalized through Jamal Harikass in the 17th minute. Ibrahim Diaz then scored twice, in the 21st and 23rd minutes, to put Morocco 3-1 up at halftime. In the second half, Morocco controlled the game, despite missing several chances. Youssef En-Nesyri added a 4th goal in the 81st minute, and Ismail Sabiri completed the victory with a 5th goal in the 90th minute. With this win, Morocco tops the group with 15 points, while Gabon, with 7 points, also qualifies for the tournament.
