Five Arab Teams Secure Qualification for AFCON 2025 in Morocco

Five Arab national teams have officially qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. This achievement was confirmed after the fifth round of qualifiers.

The qualified teams include: Morocco (as the host nation), Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, and Comoros, among 19 teams already confirmed for the tournament.

The competition will feature 48 teams, divided into 12 groups. The top two teams from each group will advance directly to the finals. Morocco, as the host country, is automatically qualified, so its results in Group B are not considered.

Teams Qualified by Group After the Fifth Round:

  • Group A: Tunisia, Comoros

  • Group B: Morocco, Gabon

  • Group C: Egypt

  • Group D: Nigeria

  • Group E: Algeria, Equatorial Guinea

  • Group F: Angola

  • Group G: Zambia, Ivory Coast

  • Group H: Republic of Congo

  • Group I: Mali

  • Group J: Cameroon, Zimbabwe

  • Group K: South Africa, Uganda

  • Group L: Senegal, Burkina Faso
