The Grand Al Hoceima Stadium is set to host its inaugural match this Monday evening, featuring a showdown between Comoros and Madagascar as part of the final round of qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Located in Aït Kamra, this state-of-the-art stadium boasts a natural grass pitch of high quality, advanced audio-visual systems, and modern facilities for players and spectators. It meets international standards for hosting major sports events.
Built under the regional development program « Al Hoceima, Lighthouse of the Mediterranean », the stadium spans 20 hectares and has a seating capacity of 11,000. Its architecture is designed to ensure safety and comfort for all users.
Anas Jbilou, regional director of SONARGES, highlighted that the stadium includes advanced referee rooms, observation spaces, a medical center, and high-standard VIP boxes. The facility also incorporates earthquake-resistant construction techniques.
Adorned in white and blue to reflect Al Hoceima’s Mediterranean identity, the stadium offers a large parking area accommodating up to 2,500 vehicles.
