In a coordinated operation with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Meknes police arrested a man in the early hours of Tuesday, November 19, on suspicion of drug possession and trafficking of psychotropic substances.
The suspect was apprehended at Meknes train station upon his arrival from a northern Moroccan city. A search revealed 1,689 drug pills in his possession, including 1,074 ecstasy tablets and 615 medical drugs of the Rivotril type.
The suspect is under judicial investigation, overseen by the competent public prosecutor’s office, to uncover the full circumstances of the case and potential extensions of this criminal activity.
