A large truck collided with a billboard and an electrical pole near the Syrians’ Mosque in Tangier on Tuesday morning, injuring the truck driver and a woman crossing the road.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver lost control of the truck, which was loaded with red bricks, resulting in a violent impact with nearby structures.
The injured individuals were promptly taken to the hospital for necessary treatment. The accident caused panic among pedestrians and local residents.
Local authorities have launched an investigation to uncover the causes and circumstances of the incident, amid calls for stricter road safety measures in the area.
