The feature film « Last Choice », directed by Rachida Saâdi, premiered last night in Casablanca before an audience of artists, critics, and distinguished guests. Starting today, the film will be shown in cinemas nationwide.
This gripping drama delves into themes of love, betrayal, and addiction through the tragic story of a young couple, Noura and Mehdi. With a realistic approach, the film provides a poignant exploration of psychological, social, and economic issues, shedding light on the devastating impact of addiction.
The story revolves around Noura and Mehdi’s crumbling marriage. Noura’s hidden poker addiction leads to financial ruin. When Mehdi falls seriously ill, his desperate decisions push him to gamble with his pharmacy’s funds. These events culminate in a heartbreaking revelation, prompting Mehdi to file for divorce, leaving Noura utterly shattered.
