A DA 42 training aircraft, used for pilot education, crashed this Thursday at 10:02 AM inside the Benslimane airbase, shortly after takeoff. The accident resulted in the tragic deaths of two Royal Air Force officers: a colonel instructor and a trainee officer.
In a statement issued by the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, it was clarified that the victims were on a training and skill development mission at the time of the incident. An investigation committee has been promptly formed to determine the causes of the crash.
The Royal Armed Forces extended their condolences and expressed solidarity with the families and loved ones of the deceased.
