The President of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, departed Morocco this Friday afternoon, concluding a brief official visit to the Kingdom.
At Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport, President Xi was bid farewell by the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch. Before boarding, he reviewed an honor guard of the Royal Navy.
Several Moroccan officials also extended their respects, including the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region and Governor of Casablanca, Mr. Mohamed Mhidia, the President of the Regional Council of Casablanca-Settat, Mr. Abdellatif Maâzouz, the Governor of Nouaceur Province, Mr. Jalal Benhayoun, as well as the President of the Nouaceur Provincial Council, Mr. Mohamed Essalmani, and the President of Nouaceur Municipality, Mr. Abdelaziz Erradi.
On the Chinese side, His Excellency was accompanied at the airport by Mr. Li Changlin, the Chinese Ambassador to Morocco, along with embassy officials, including the military attaché Mr. Xia Qilin and the economic counselor Mr. Zheng Wei.
During his visit, President Xi was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Mr. Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and Director-General of the Communist Party’s Central Committee, Mr. Wang Yi, head of foreign affairs for the Communist Party, and Ms. Hua Chunying, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
