The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts relatively warm to locally hot weather over northern and central plains and southern provinces this Friday.

General Weather Conditions:

• Cumulus clouds expected over the High Atlas regions.

• High-altitude clouds passing over the Rif, Middle Atlas, northwest, and southern areas.

• Low clouds with fog banks forming along the Mediterranean coast and the northern Oriental region.

• Local dust dispersal in the southern provinces.

• Moderate to strong wind gusts in the northern parts of the southern provinces.

Temperature Forecasts:

• Minimums:

  • Between 3°C and 8°C in the Atlas Mountains and the Oriental high plateaus.

  • Between 15°C and 20°C in the Saharan provinces, Anti-Atlas, Souss, and coastal areas.

  • Between 9°C and 15°C in other regions.

• Maximums:

  • Expected to rise, especially in the extreme north and southern areas.

Sea Conditions:

• Calm on the Mediterranean coast.

• Calm to slightly rough in the Strait of Gibraltar.

• Rough to very rough between Mehdia and Tarfaya.

• Slightly rough to rough elsewhere.
