As global oil prices head for a 2% weekly drop due to reduced international supply risks, Moroccan consumers face a rise in fuel prices starting Sunday, December 1, 2024. Diesel will increase by 20 centimes per liter, while gasoline will go up by 10 centimes, according to the National Federation of Service Station Owners and Managers.

Since last summer, prices have seen successive declines, with a notable drop in early November when gasoline decreased by 30 centimes per liter, while diesel remained stable. This new rise halts a streak of five reductions over the past three and a half months.

Currently, in Casablanca, the average price of a liter of diesel is 11.27 MAD, while gasoline is priced at 13.07 MAD. Prices vary across regions due to transportation costs and commercial strategies.

Internationally, oil prices fell this week amid eased tensions in the Middle East and expectations of increased supply in 2025. Brent closed at $73.24 per barrel, while WTI ended at $69.27.
