Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed his satisfaction with the performance of French star Kylian Mbappé after their 2-0 win over Getafe in La Liga’s Matchday 15.
Ancelotti praised Mbappé’s display, stating: “He played brilliantly, always active and dangerous as usual. He delivered an energetic performance, which is exactly what we want from him.”
The Italian coach also commended the fans for their unwavering support despite challenges, noting: “Mbappé could have done better against Liverpool in the Champions League, but the supporters backed him as they should.”
Regarding penalty takers, he clarified that the order depends on the lineup: “It used to be between Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. With Vinícius out, Jude Bellingham has become the next choice.”
On La Liga’s title race, Ancelotti said: “We are still in the race despite the narrow gap with Barcelona and the difficulties we face. The team is showing good spirit, and we’ll work on solving our issues with time.”
He also reassured fans about Jude Bellingham’s minor neck stiffness, stating: “It’s nothing serious.” However, he acknowledged that fatigue was expected late in the game due to a packed schedule and travel demands.
With this performance, Real Madrid underlines its determination to compete for titles, relying on its stars’ adaptability to challenges.
