A government council, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, is scheduled for next Thursday, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The council will begin by discussing three draft decrees. The first focuses on approving the state’s contribution policy, the second involves amendments to the decree establishing the Souss-Massa free export zone, and the third concerns modifications to the statutes of research professors.
The statement also noted that the council will examine two agreements between Morocco and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau. The first agreement addresses mutual administrative assistance in customs matters, while the second pertains to international road transport of passengers and goods. These agreements, signed in Laâyoune on July 16, 2024, will be accompanied by two draft laws for their approval.
The council will conclude its session by reviewing proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
