Club Meknès announced today, Wednesday, on social media, the appointment of Abdelatif Grindo as the new head coach, replacing Tunisian Abdelhay Ben Sultan, who was dismissed on Tuesday.
The decision follows the team’s poor performance in recent rounds of the Botola Pro « Inwi » (first division), including a loss to Olympique Safi and a draw against Chabab Mohammedia at the Honor Stadium.
Recently promoted to the first division, Club Meknès has struggled to achieve satisfactory results and currently ranks 14th with 14 points.
Abdelatif Grindo, a former Moroccan international and iconic figure of Raja Casablanca, boasts a rich coaching career. He previously managed Morocco’s U-17 national team, Jeunesse El Massira, Moghreb de Fès, and Moghreb de Tétouan.
