Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts the Day Down

The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened this Friday’s trading session on a downward trend, with its main index, MASI, dropping by 0.57% to settle at 14,796.79 points.

The MASI.20 index, reflecting the performance of the top 20 listed companies, fell by 0.68% to 1,201.74 points, while the MASI.ESG, which tracks companies with the best ESG ratings, recorded a 0.7% decline, settling at 1,052.2 points.

However, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, tracking the performance of small and medium-sized companies, rose by 0.83% to 1,467.61 points.

On the individual stocks front, the biggest losers were:

  • Stockvis North Africa (-3.76% / MAD 15.87),

  • AtlantaSanad (-3.64% / MAD 127.2),

  • Attijariwafa Bank (-3.33% / MAD 580),

  • Aluminum Morocco (-2.98% / MAD 1,401),

  • Colorado (-2.86% / MAD 51.21).

Conversely, the top gainers included:

  • Moroccan Beverage Company (+6.53% / MAD 2,397),

  • Wafa Assurance (+6.03% / MAD 34.99),

  • Addoha (+3.21% / MAD 39.9),

  • Alliances (+2.05% / MAD 449),

  • Auto Hall (+2% / MAD 65.79).

On Thursday, the MASI index closed with a gain of 0.89%.
