The criminal chamber of Ain Sebaâ Court in Casablanca delivered its verdict early Tuesday morning in the case involving « Rida, aka Ould Chinewia« . He was sentenced to three years in prison, while TikToker « Bent Abbas » received a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence.

In his plea, the public prosecutor criticized the growing « triviality » on social media, warning of its dangers to society, particularly children, and its adverse effects on moral values and public order.

« Ould Chinewia » faced charges of threatening violence, spreading false claims to harm individuals’ privacy, defamation, and insulting public officials during their duties. The court also ordered the arrest of « Bent Abbas, » initially one of the complainants.

Another complaint, filed by the Moroccan League for Citizenship and Human Rights, is under investigation. It accuses « Ould Chinewia » of human trafficking, public indecency, and slander.

According to a statement from the league, the accusations are based on widely circulated audio recordings on social media. These recordings allegedly reveal conversations where individuals, including « Ould Chinewia, » organize illicit transactions involving the sale of male and female bodies at set prices.

The league condemned what it described as a criminal network disguised as social media activity. It alleged that these platforms not only help evade monitoring but also target individuals attempting to expose or report such practices.
