Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts Positively

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on a positive note this Wednesday. Its main index, MASI, recorded an increase of 0.13%, settling at 14,714.31 points.

Meanwhile, the MASI.20 index, reflecting the performance of the top 20 listed companies, rose by 0.16% to 1,193.8 points.

The MASI.ESG index, which tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings, advanced by 0.2% to reach 1,044.66 points.

Additionally, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, measuring the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, saw a slight uptick of 0.02%, settling at 1,471.98 points.

Individual Performances: Gainers and Losers

Top gainers included:

  • Attijariwafa Bank (+2.03% / 577.5 MAD)

  • Maroc Telecom (+1% / 85.95 MAD)

  • Travaux Généraux de Construction de Casablanca (+0.71% / 479 MAD)

  • Akdital (+0.57% / 1,066 MAD)

  • Sonasid (+0.53% / 950 MAD)

On the other hand, the top losers were:

  • Atlanta Sanad (-2.5% / 128.6 MAD)

  • Cartier Saada (-1.94% / 32.36 MAD)

  • Label’Vie (-0.96% / 4,110 MAD)

  • Alliances (-0.87% / 440 MAD)

  • Cosumar (-0.67% / 193.7 MAD)

On Tuesday, the MASI index had closed trading with a loss of 0.7%.
