The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts intermittent rain or showers today, Wednesday, over the Atlantic plains north of Essaouira. These rains could be moderate in some northern areas but generally light elsewhere.
Thunderstorms may develop in the extreme northwest of the country, with possible snowfall over the peaks of the Rif Mountains. Additionally, the weather will remain humid and relatively cold, with frost forming overnight and early in the morning on the Rif, Atlas Mountains, and high eastern plateaus.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy skies, with relatively dense low clouds near the southern Atlantic coast.
Winds will be light to moderate, from the north in the Saharan provinces, and from the south near the northern Atlantic coasts. Elsewhere, winds will be light and variable. Local dust storms are also expected in the northern Saharan provinces.
Minimum temperatures will range between -5°C and 0°C in the Rif, Atlas, and eastern plateaus, between 1°C and 4°C in the phosphate and Oulmès regions, and between 2°C and 7°C in the northern and central plains. In the south, they will range from 7°C to 12°C. Maximum temperatures will see a slight increase compared to the previous day.
The sea will be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean and Strait of Gibraltar, rough to very rough south of Larache, and gradually becoming rough in the morning along other coasts.
