France and Morocco: A Golden Era of Collaboration

The President of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, stated on Thursday in Rabat that Morocco and France are experiencing a “new golden era” of bilateral cooperation. She emphasized that Morocco is thriving with a dynamic spirit in which France can find its place.

“We see how dynamic Morocco is today and how France can integrate itself, particularly through its companies and expertise,” Braun-Pivet remarked to the press following her discussions with Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.

She praised the exceptional and enhanced partnership between Rabat and Paris, solidified during President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Morocco, noting that “we must foster this relationship at all levels.”

“Morocco is a country advancing harmoniously, leaving no one behind,” she added, commending Morocco’s significant progress in education, agriculture, renewable energy, and water management. She also highlighted the numerous social initiatives benefiting Moroccan citizens.

During her discussions with Akhannouch on the distinguished Moroccan-French partnership and various programs implemented in the Kingdom, Braun-Pivet described the talks as highly productive.

As part of her official visit, leading a significant parliamentary delegation, Braun-Pivet also held discussions on Wednesday with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami. Their talks mainly focused on strengthening cooperation between the Moroccan House of Representatives and the French National Assembly.
