In the past two days, more than 150 blood bags were collected in Imzouren, Al Hoceïma Province, as part of a large-scale blood donation campaign organized by the Sanad Association for Culture and Social Development.
Under the slogan: “A few drops of your blood can save a life,” the initiative, in collaboration with the Regional Blood Transfusion Center in Al Hoceïma, attracted numerous donors to the courtyard of the Imam Malik Mosque in Imzouren to contribute this life-saving resource to those in need.
Omar Abou El Kacem, President of the Sanad Association, highlighted that this marks the sixth edition of the association’s blood donation campaigns. The primary objectives are to bolster local blood reserves, encourage voluntary and charitable acts in the region, and raise awareness about the vital importance of donating blood to save lives.
He further emphasized the importance of such drives in motivating healthy individuals to donate their blood. He also stressed the religious, humanitarian, and cultural significance of this act, which embodies the values of solidarity and altruism.
Abou El Kacem commended the active participation of donors, particularly those who traveled long distances to rekindle hope for those in critical need. The Sanad Association has expressed its readiness to organize more such donation campaigns in the future.
