Amna Bouaïach, President of the National Council for Human Rights, has reiterated the importance of establishing an independent, multidisciplinary national commission to evaluate issues related to biomedical research and provide recommendations. She emphasized the need to revise the current legislative framework to address emerging challenges such as organ donation, euthanasia, and combating human organ trafficking. According to her, these sensitive matters require heightened societal awareness and a broad public debate to ensure the protection of human dignity and adherence to bioethics principles in line with international standards.

Speaking during a study day organized by the Committee on Justice, Legislation, and Human Rights in the House of Representatives under the theme « Human Rights in Morocco and the Challenges of Emerging Issues, » Bouaïach also discussed the impacts of artificial intelligence on the human rights system. She specifically highlighted issues related to privacy and data protection, stressing the need for transparency and accountability in the use of digital technologies.
