Raja Casablanca has announced that it has reached an agreement with its Portuguese coach, Ricardo Sapinto, to terminate their contract without resorting to the payment of the release clause. This decision follows a series of poor results that have negatively impacted the club’s trajectory.
Under the leadership of Adel Hala, Raja’s president, the club’s management succeeded in persuading Sapinto to step down in exchange for financial compensation limited to two months’ salary. This step aims to help the club overcome its current challenges.
Until a new coach is appointed, Moroccan coach Hafid Abdessadeq will temporarily take charge of the team.
Ricardo Sapinto was hired to replace Bosnian coach Rusmir Svikô but failed to achieve the expected results. In 11 matches, he managed only two victories, along with three losses and six draws.
