Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie brigade in Tangier, in coordination with the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), have arrested a young man in his twenties suspected of communicating with extremist terrorist groups.
The security operation was carried out early Thursday morning in the Al Majmaa Al Hassani 3 neighborhood, located in Jzania.
According to information obtained by “Tanjaaoua,” the 25-year-old suspect was apprehended following a raid on his home around 7 a.m. Security agents seized a computer believed to have been used to communicate with extremist entities.
The suspect is currently in custody under the supervision of the BCIJ and the public prosecutor responsible for terrorism cases. The investigation aims to uncover all activities attributed to him and examine his possible connections with various terrorist organizations.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts by security services to combat terrorism and extremism and to thwart attempts by terrorist groups to recruit young individuals.
