His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, received today at the Royal Palace of Casablanca His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
This meeting is part of the strong bonds of trust and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the genuine brotherly ties between their peoples. During this exchange, the two leaders praised the positive developments in Moroccan-Mauritanian partnership across various sectors. They also reaffirmed their commitment to advancing strategic connectivity projects between the neighboring nations, particularly the Africa-Atlantic gas pipeline and the initiative to facilitate Sahel states’ access to the Atlantic Ocean.
Upon his arrival at the Royal Palace, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani reviewed a Royal Guard unit that paid him honors before being offered dates and milk, in accordance with ancient Moroccan traditions.
