The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts relatively cold weather for today, Saturday, with local frost expected over the high peaks of the High and Middle Atlas mountains and the southern part of the Oriental region, especially in the morning and at night.
Snowfall is anticipated on the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas mountains above 1800 meters, accompanied by rain and showers over these mountain ranges, adjacent plains, the plains west of the Atlas, and the Souss region.
Additionally, cloudy skies with light rain are expected in parts of the West, Chaouia, Oriental region, and along the Mediterranean coast. Strong winds will blow in the Tangier area, along the central coasts, and in the southern provinces.
Minimum temperatures will range from -1 to 5°C in the Atlas mountains and the high eastern plateaus, from 4 to 10°C in the phosphate plateaus, Middle Atlas, Rif, Oriental region, and interior Souss, and between 10 and 16°C in the rest of the country. Daytime temperatures will experience a noticeable drop in the Atlas mountains, central areas, and the east of the kingdom.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, rough to very rough between El Jadida and Tarfaya, and slight to moderate elsewhere, becoming rough in the afternoon.
