A Remarkable Performance in the MENA Karting Championship
Morocco secured an impressive second place in the MENA Karting Championship, held from December 17 to 21 at the Lusail Circuit in Qatar.
An International Competition Under FIA Supervision
According to a statement from the Moroccan Royal Federation of Motor Sports, this fifth edition of the championship, organized under the supervision of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), brought together 16 countries and over 160 drivers.
Victories in Several Categories
In the endurance race category, the duo of Othmane Benhayoun and Reda Benaidi clinched first place for Morocco, outperforming the United Arab Emirates and Algeria. In the “Senior Max” category, Anis Tazi stood out by securing second place, while Mehdi Kadiri took third place in the “Sprint” category.
In the “Micro Max” category, Nâhil Kahoudi made a spectacular comeback, moving from the last position at the start to finish in third place.
Second Place in the Overall Ranking
In the overall standings, Morocco finished second, just seven points behind Lebanon, which claimed first place, and ahead of the United Arab Emirates, which came third.
A Promising Future for Moroccan Karting
This achievement marks Morocco’s third podium finish in the championship’s five editions. The Federation hopes this success will inspire more Moroccan enthusiasts to engage in this sport.
To foster participation, the Federation organizes the national karting championship annually, providing a platform to develop local talent.
