Raja Club Athletic Reacts to Controversial Statements by Wydad President

Raja Club Athletic has issued an official statement in response to controversial remarks made by Hicham Ait Manna, president of Wydad Athletic Club. Ait Manna claimed that last season’s championship title was « stolen » from FAR Rabat and given to Raja.

The Raja statement reads: « Following the irresponsible comments made by Hicham Ait Manna, broadcast this morning during a radio program on Radio Mars… »

The club emphasized that these statements, according to Article 1 of the Code of Ethics of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, represent irresponsible behavior that undermines the integrity and reputation of national football and its institutions. Such remarks conflict with the ethical standards expected from a club president and a professional football league official.

Finally, Raja announced that it has filed a formal complaint against Ait Manna with the FRMF Ethics Committee and the National Professional Football League, with plans to escalate the matter to the appropriate judicial authorities.
