Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts Trading with Gains
The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading this Thursday on a positive note, with its main index, MASI, gaining 0.47% to settle at 14,680.57 points.
The MASI.20 index, which tracks the performance of the top 20 most liquid companies on the exchange, advanced by 0.55% to 1,186.05 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, highlighting companies with the best environmental, social, and governance (ESG) ratings, rose by 0.34% to 1,036.7 points.
Similarly, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises, showed a notable increase of 0.97%, reaching 1,494.5 points.
