Rescue Operation in Al-Attaouia Farm

The Royal Gendarmerie forces from the Al-Attaouia brigade, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST) and the public prosecutor of El Kelaa des Sraghna, conducted a major operation. They raided an agricultural farm and freed 19 individuals who were held in harsh conditions, suffering from severe addiction and psychological disorders.

According to local sources, the raid took place Thursday night in the Douar Al-Touahra, located in the Al-Chouara commune, Al-Attaouia. It was prompted by a complaint filed by the family of one of the detainees, to which the Gendarmerie responded swiftly and effectively.

The investigations resulted in the arrest of two main suspects. The freed individuals had been enduring their ordeal for more than two years.

The authorities transported the rescued individuals to the regional hospital in El Kelaa des Sraghna for necessary medical treatment. Additionally, an in-depth investigation has been launched by the Royal Gendarmerie’s judicial center under the supervision of the competent prosecutor to uncover all details and assign responsibilities in this case.
