Two Security Operations Lead to the Seizure of Illegal Alcohol in Zoumi and Kalâa Bouqra

As part of ongoing efforts to combat the production and distribution of illegal alcohol, the Royal Gendarmerie forces in Zoumi carried out two consecutive operations, dismantling two clandestine facilities for producing « Mahia » and selling alcoholic beverages. These operations took place in Kalâa Bouqra and Zoumi.

The first operation, conducted on the night of December 25, 2024, in Kalâa Bouqra, resulted in the seizure of large quantities of « Mahia » and other alcoholic beverages prepared for distribution, along with equipment used for distillation.

This morning, Thursday, December 26, a second operation was carried out in Zoumi, leading to the confiscation of additional quantities of alcoholic drinks and raw materials used in the production of « Mahia. »

These proactive measures highlight the vigilance and relentless efforts of the Royal Gendarmerie to curb illegal activities related to the production and promotion of illicit alcohol, which poses a threat to public health and community safety.

Investigations are ongoing to identify those involved in these illegal operations and bring them to justice.
