Police in Tangier Foil Illegal Migration Attempt

Police forces in Tangier’s Security Prefecture successfully thwarted an illegal migration attempt by sea and arrested 55 individuals this Friday morning, December 27.

This operation, conducted in coordination with local authorities in the peri-urban area of “Rahrara” in Tangier, led to the discovery of 55 candidates for illegal migration sheltered in several houses within the same region. Additionally, four inflatable boats intended for this operation were seized.

The detained individuals are now under judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office to uncover all circumstances and those responsible for this case. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend all participants and accomplices involved in these criminal acts.
