Tourist Stays in Rabat Increase Slightly: A Modest Growth
The Tourism Observatory reported a 4% increase in overnight stays at classified tourist accommodation establishments in Rabat during the first ten months of this year.
According to the monthly statistics released by the Observatory, the total number of overnight stays reached 713,566 by the end of October, compared to 683,910 during the same period in 2023. The occupancy rate stood at 52%, compared to 53% last year.
In this context, tourism expert Zoubir Bouhout stated that this figure remains modest compared to the city’s potential. Despite significant developments and sustained efforts, the current number of overnight stays is still low.
He added that if the current trend continues, tourist stays could reach between 830,000 and 850,000 by the end of the year, with the possibility of being surpassed by the Al Haouz region.
