A person lost their life and several others were injured yesterday, Wednesday, following the explosion of an electric car in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to local media reports.
Authorities clarified that the vehicle, a « Tesla Cybertruck » model, was parked at the entrance of a hotel before it unexpectedly exploded. The incident resulted in the death of the driver and minor injuries to seven bystanders.
ABC News reported that the causes of the incident remain unknown at this stage. Las Vegas police have not ruled out the possibility of a « terrorist act. »
Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, announced via the platform « X » that the company has launched an internal investigation into the incident.
