CAF Announces CHAN 2025 Draw Date
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Monday the date for the draw of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025, scheduled to take place from February 1 to 28, 2025, in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
According to a statement by CAF, the draw will be held on Wednesday, January 15, at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital.
CAF confirmed that the tournament will be hosted across the three nations, despite reports suggesting Kenya’s readiness to host on schedule was in question.
CAF described the 2025 CHAN as a unique opportunity to witness top-tier football performances across Africa and a platform for emerging players to shine.
Seventeen teams will compete in this edition, including the three host nations, along with Morocco, Senegal, Guinea, Zambia, Madagascar, Rwanda, Sudan, Mauritania, Niger, Congo, Angola, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, and Nigeria.
